Walter Trout im Hospital!
Walter Trout ist ernsthaft erkrankt! Hier der fb Eintrag der Ehefrau:
Walter is in the hospital. This is from Walter's wife, Marie: "Please send loving thoughts and prayers to Walter. He is severely dehydrated, and his electrolytes are dangerously out of balance. He should be better once the balance is restored - it will take a few days in the hospital. Also, we are now waiting for the third week in a row for a decision from his health insurance company to decide whether they will pay for a new wonder drug that should be able to cure Walter's condition. If you could send some positive energy in that direction too? That the insurance company will approve the medication: Each pill costs $ 1,000 - a full treatment is $90,000! Walter will benefit from your thoughts, prayers and consideration. Thank you. And please do not call Walter. He needs to rest. Write your comments here. We will post updates here as things unfold."

The Blues Came Callin" geben.

One of my favorite moments of tonight - playing guitar behind Van Morrison, Eric Burdon and Dana Fuchs as they sing "Goodnight Irene" !!

Posted by my wife Marie on her facebook page. I thought I'd share it with you here: "Last night Walter returned to performing at Royal Albert Hall in London. The arrangers had asked me to introduce him to the stage. I was honored (and scared out of my wits) to do so. Lead Belly Fest was an amazing event, with many great performers all honoring the legacy one of the blues greats. The proceeds went to a great cause, a children's charity. Here are the words I said to introduce Walter: "Walter spent many of the past 18 months in hospitals too weak to walk and too tired to talk. In May of 2014, in the eleventh hour, a perfect liver donor match - along with the ourpouring of love and support from the blues community - saved his life. Since then he has fought like a warrior and trained like an athlete to prepare for this moment. Ladies and gentlemen, please give him a warm welcome back to the stage where he belongs: Walter Trout." He then proceeded to play, jump, sing, and cry his way through an amazing performance, honoring B.B. King with "Say goodbye to the blues" and Lead Belly with "TB Blues." I am so very happy to see him back doing what he does. And doing it so very, very well. The audience responded with standing ovations.Today I still feel so many emotions moving through me...."
