Celebrating his 50th year as a professional musician, Eric Clapton announced today a limited number of 2013 UK concerts including five nights at London’s famed Royal Albert Hall. After signing with the Yardbirds in 1963, Clapton began a career as a professional musician that has seen numerous bands, an abundance of albums, countless worldwide sold out shows, an impressive array of accolades, unwavering critical acclaim and his consistent display of legendary guitar work. These concerts will mark his return to the stage after spending 2012 in the studio working on a new album to be released in early 2013.

Clapton has assembled an impressive band for the 2013 dates which will consist of long-time touring partners: Doyle Bramhall II (guitar), Steve Jordan (drums), Chris Stainton (piano and keyboards), and Willie Weeks (bass), along with newcomers Paul Carrack (organ and keyboards) and Greg Leisz (pedal steel guitar). Michelle John and Sharon White will join the touring band again as backing vocalists.

May 14 - Manchester, UK - Manchester Arena
May 17 - London, UK - Royal Albert Hall (Freitag)
May 18 - London, UK - Royal Albert Hall (Samstag)
May 20 - London, UK - Royal Albert Hall (Pfingstmontag)
May 21 - London, UK - Royal Albert Hall (Dienstag)
May 23 - London, UK - Royal Albert Hall (Donnerstag)

Tickets go on sale Friday, September 21st with an EC Access Fan Club pre-sale beginning Wednesday, September 19th.

Es geht los, Leute!!!

Ich könnte mir vorstellen, dass für Fr. 24.+ Sa 25.Mai noch Konzerte nachgeschoben werden.
Diese Termine sind in der RAH auch noch nicht belegt. Es würde zu der Salamitaktik der letzten Jahre passen

..............und für alle, die nicht auf die Insel wollen oder können:
EC kommt voraussichtlich anschließend nach Deutschland. Es ist noch nicht offiziell, aber wir werden die Termine
bald erfahren, habt bitte noch etwas Geduld.

Ist ja echt ne Wucht . Ich kann nur sagen Vorfreude pur. Bloß welchen Termin nehmen wir als "zentrales" Konzert? Also, wo möglichst alle zusammen kommen. Soll es Samstag der 18. sein oder wollen wir zocken und darauf spekulieren, dass es auch noch der darauf folgende Samstag werden wird? Oh mir wird schon ganz anders, wenn ich daran denke, wie hektisch immer dieses Vorbestellen ist .

Interessant ist, dass Mark Knopfler genau die Woche nach Eric in der RAH spielt. Es wird doch nicht etwa eine "Reunion" der beiden geben. Vielleicht sollte man gleich in London bleiben!!!
