Jimmie Vaughan Suffers Heart Attack

It took an announcement from the Mahindra Blues Festival in Mumbai, India for the world to learn that Jimmie Vaughan has suffered a serious heart attack.

The festival site posted the following on their site:
Jimmie Vaughan was admitted to Pomona Hospital Medical Center on January 23, 2013 with an acute myocardial infraction [sic] (Heart Attack). He had a coronary angioplasty and stent placement. He is still in the hospital but recovering and has been advised by his cardiologist to rest at home for a month. He regretfully had to cancel a scheduled trip to the Mahindra Blues Festival in Mumbai, India as a result.

"Hey Everyone,
Thank you for all your prayers and well wishes. Thank you for all your lovely messages. I'm feeling good and the doctor has told me I have to take the month off the road...Awe Phooey! I guess this will be a good time to reflect and work on some new ideas. It was really nice to hear from everyone. I'm excited to get back to work with my fabulous band and get after it. Just looking forward to the new year and all the opportunities that might present themselves.
Life is good....full of spit and vinegar and love.
