Jimmy Page hat schon mal nähere Hinweise gegeben auf die neuen, jetzt fertigen Led Zeppelin Remaster Serien im kommenden Jahr:

Jimmy Page has confirmed that the remastering is done and next year's Led Zeppelin album reissues will include unreleased material! "Each of the albums has been remastered but it also has a companion disc with it," Page told the press this past Thursday night. "Let's take for example, 'Led Zeppelin III' — I revisited all the working mixes that were done at the time... Say for example, there's 'Since I've Been Loving You' — there's an incredible version of that which is totally different, it's really raw in its approach, it's quite dramatic, it's cool." Can't wait!

Das Remastering ist wirklich gut gelungen. Allerdings werden die Bonuszugaben immer weniger. War bei I noch ein Live Konzert anhängig, so fand man bei II und III noch einige seltene Outtakes. Zudem die grandiose Urversion von Since I've Been Loving you. Bei IV und Houses wurde dann gespart. Beide Bonus CD's sind absolut verzichtbar. Teilweise wurden die Vocals oder auch einzelne Instrumente weggelassen. Auch der hochgelobte Neumix von StH überzeugt mich nicht. Letztlich wurde da vor allem mehr Hall unterlegt.
Hoffentlich werden PG und Presence da ergiebiger.

Am 31.7. erscheinen die letzten 3 Zeppelin Scheiben in der Neuauflage. Klingt wenig spektakulär!
